Meet Leon Hackett, Sales Consultant

Who are you and what is your job title?

I’m Leon Hackett, End User Sales Consultant at Killis.

What do you do in the company?

I sell cleaning machines to commercial and domestic sectors and give technical advice on cleaning machines. I also do sight surveys and consultations, advising on cleaning applications, i.e., for specialist floors, and provide quotations and estimations for cleaning equipment recommended to the client.

I am front-facing and passionate in my role. I am forward-thinking with solutions for clients, i.e., smart cleaning for smart buildings. I am a respected person in my field.

What environments do you mainly work in and advise for (for example hospitals, schools and warehouses?)

I don't have a specific environment I work in, as it can be any. However, I often find myself working for a mixture of education and healthcare the most.

What is the most challenging cleaning problems you have come across and how did you solve them?

The most challenging cleaning problem I have faced is a ceramic Italian absorbent matt finished tile in a supermarket. We tried every method and application on it, but in the end, the best solution I came up with was steam cleaning extraction with agitation. The results were remarkable.

What specific knowledge do you bring to customers and how does this benefit them?

Within the company and to the customer, my knowledge is very valuable; customers call me to resolve problems as well as purchase equipment and solutions. I have solid bonds and relationships because of this knowledge.

I am also the brand ambassador for Excentr at Killis. I know the ins and outs of these machines, helping recommend the right equipment and accessories for the right cleaning problem.

Tell me a time where your job has helped a specific customer or sector?

A customer who purchased an engineering factory with greasy, locally in Sheffield, needed help removing the grease. I went and consulted the customer and advised him on how to safely remove the grease and fully clean and restore the factory back to A1 condition with full absorption and evaporation of grease.

If you have any cleaning issues, need some advice or equipment, please feel free to contact Leon Hackett at leon@killis.co.uk.
